State Farm Neighborhood Assist

Do you have an idea that would make your neighborhood a better place?  Here’s your chance to make a difference!

State Farm Neighborhood Assist® is giving out 40 $25,000 grants to help fund 40 causes across the country. This is a great opportunity to get involved and help those around us. Beginning March 9 through March 29, you can submit a philanthropic cause for a chance to win one of this year’s grants.

Here are a few examples of what these grants can do.  Last year, volunteer Debbie Clark and the Hinton Area Elementary School provided weekend meals for students to help meet their nutritional needs and succeed more in school – see their story here.  And Roger Ebnet brought his community of Benson, MN together by improving their local baseball and softball field. – see his story here

You are encouraged to submit your cause today! It’s an easy online submission that can be completed in a few minutes. When the submission period closes on March 23, the State Farm Youth Advisory Board will review all entries and identify the top 200 based on a scoring rubric. The top 200 causes will then be announced on the free Facebook app you and others can also use to vote for your favorite causes. The 40 causes that receive the most votes will each receive a $25,000 grant!

Miller Brewing - Tap the Future

Tap the Future.  It’s time to enter!  And time to encourage the entrepreneurs and small-businesses that have a great product, service or idea to enter this very special competition sponsored by MillerLite. Businesses are built on dreams, and we want to celebrate the people chasing theirs. That’s why Miller Lite is convening Tap the Future: a competition that lets entrepreneurs pitch for a chance to earn more than $200K to fund their business. In the process, the company offers business seminars, live pitch opportunities, access to business moguls like Daymond John from ABC’s “Shark Tank” and more.

Miller Lite Tap the Future is back and they are looking for original business ideas and passionate business owners. This year, in addition to business teams, MillerLite is also accepting “solopreneurs” to the program. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their business live in front of Daymond John from ABC’s Shark Tank and compete for the grand prize of over $200K.
