Volunteers needed for 2014 Election Day

Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) is seeking volunteers, including here in New York, to monitor the November 4th  elections for compliance with the federal Voting rights Act and to document instances of anti-Asian voter disenfranchisement.

Mandatory trainings start next week in NYC. (Attorneys can receive 1.5 CLE credits including 0.5 ethics credit.)  Volunteers with bilingual ability in an Asian language are especially helpful, but not required. Non-attorneys can also be a volunteer.
