KALAGNY Congratulates Judge Alexander Jeong
The Honorable Alexander Jeong was appointed as Deputy Administrative Judge of the New York City Criminal Court.
In a statement Tuesday, Chief Administrative Judge A. Gail Prudenti said about Judge Jeong's appointment, "we are fortunate to benefit from his vast expertise, unassailable integrity and strong management skills."
Judge Jeong, a graduate of George Washington University Law School and a former Brooklyn prosecutor, began his judicial career when he was appointed a Criminal Court judge in 2005. He was then re-appointed in 2010, and was designated an acting justice in 2012 assigned to the Supreme Court’s Criminal Term in Brooklyn. Prior to his ascension to the bench, he served the Office of the Kings County District Attorney for over a decade, most recently as a bureau chief in the Office's Criminal Court Bureau.
