KALAGNY’s Women's Committee Event: Mini-Facials and Margaritas - Wednesday, July 26, 2017

KALAGNY's Women's Committee invites you to unwind with us for an evening of mini-facials and margaritas!  Jennifer Song will talk about products from the #1 skincare brand in the U.S.  You will get a chance to sample all the products and all attendees will be eligible to win a full-sized product.  This event is free for KALAGNY members and $20 for non-KALAGNY members (cash at event accepted).

KALAGNY's Annual Picnic in Central Park – Saturday, July 29, 2017

Our monthly pro bono clinics are held in Manhattan and Bayside, Queens on the first Tuesday of every month, from 7-9 PM.  The next clinics will take place on August 1, 2017.  Please spread the word to your family, friends and neighbors in need of legal counsel.

Save the Date for KALAGNY & IAKL Joint Mixer on August 8th

It’s that time of the year again - get ready for some networking and fun!  KALAGNY and IAKL will be hosting another joint mixer on August 8th (location TBA).  The mixer is a great opportunity for everyone to mingle, get to know more about both organizations, make new contacts, and all in all have a great time!  

New Jersey Committee’s Summer Happy Hour – August 10, 2017

Our New Jersey Committee will be hosting a summer happy hour on Thursday, August 10!  Join us for a drink and enjoy the skyline views at PIER 115 Bar & Grill (115 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ 07020) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Complimentary beer and wine will be served for the first hour.

KALAGNY'S Annual New Jersey Picnic – September 16, 2017

Our New Jersey Committee will host its annual picnic on Saturday, September 16 (12:00 PM) at Carpenter's Grove Park in Fort Lee, New Jersey (directions).  Join us and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with fellow KALAGNY members and eat Korean BBQ right on the Hudson River with a beautiful view of New York and the George Washington Bridge.  Families and children are welcome!

Andy Hahn Honored for Distinguished Leadership by NYLJ

Andrew Hahn has been named a Distinguished Leadership honoree by the New York Law Journal as part of its annual Professional Excellence Awards event.  (Read the announcement in the NYLJ here.)  This year’s honorees will be featured in a special section of the Journal and celebrated at an event hosted by the NYLJ on October 17th.  Andy is a partner at Duane Morris and a longstanding and devoted member of KALAGNY.

We share in NYLJ’s admiration of Andy’s leadership qualities and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition!

KALAGNY Welcomes Michael Rhee to Its Board of Governors

KALAGNY is pleased to announce that Michael Rhee, General Counsel to the Durst Organization, has joined KALAGNY’s Board of Governors for a two-year term.  As General Counsel, Michael handles the day-to-day legal affairs of The Durst Organization and its 1,200 employees. The Durst Organization is recognized as a world leader in the development of high-performance and environmentally advanced commercial and residential buildings. 

Michael was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Staten Island, the son of hardworking Korean immigrants.  He went on to graduate from Cornell University and St. John’s University School of Law before embarking on his legal career.

Michael regularly supports the annual Korean American Community Foundation (KACF) Golf Classic.  When not slicing golf balls into the woods, he enjoys running and spending family time with his wife, Bonnie (also an attorney) and daughter.
