CALL FOR PRO BONO VOLUNTEERS

KALAGNY has partnered with KACE (Korean American Civic Empowerment) and the Korean American Sanctuary Churches Network to assist those economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by offering remote pro bono legal consultations in connection with the CARES Act and other legal issues.

Over the past several weeks, our volunteers have assisted over 450 people that have been affected by the Coronavirus. There is a continuing need for volunteers to field 2-hour shifts on the “hotline”, which is open 7 days a week, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. As many of those seeking assistance have difficulty with English, there is a particular need for volunteers with proficiency in Korean. Training is also available to those that are interested.

If you have availability and are interested in volunteering, please register through the KALAGNY website by clicking here: https://www.kalagny.org/Pro-Bono-VolunteersIf you have questions, please email kalagny@gmail.com with the subject line “COVID-19 PRO BONO HOTLINE”.
