In this session, we welcome Dr. Rachel Brem and the Brem Foundation. Dr. Brem has served as the Brem Foundation’s Chief Medical Officer and inspiration since its inception in 2006. As the Director of the Breast Imaging and Intervention Center and the Program Leader for Breast Cancer at the George Washington Cancer Center, Dr. Brem works every day to prevent breast cancer from taking more lives. She is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Brem is the recipient of countless awards and honors including Castle Connolly Best Doctors and was ranked as one of the top cancer doctors in the United States by Newsweek Magazine in 2015. In addition, Dr. Brem has been instrumental in developing new technologies for earlier breast cancer detection including taking two new breast imaging technologies through the FDA which are now widely used clinically. She has published over 140 peer reviewed manuscripts and has lectured both nationally and internationally.
