KALAGNY's 2024-2025 Mentorship Program

The Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York ("KALAGNY") is pleased to announce its 2024-2025 KALAGNY Mentorship Program. This will be the sixteenth annual edition of this program, and it has become a model for several similar programs around the United States.

Our Network

The Mentorship Program has steadily grown each year since its inception, from about 55 participants in 2009-2010 to over 200 participants today.  Our mentors include judges, prosecutors, in-house attorneys, public interest attorneys, lawyers from large, medium and small firms and solo practitioners.  Our mentees have included law students from every law school in the greater New York area and young attorneys in a variety of practices.

Our Philosophy and Approach

Our program is designed to provide law students and new attorneys access to a broad network of attorneys who have volunteered their time to share their wisdom and insight into the day to day practice of law and broader career issues and goals.

Registration for our 2024-2025 program is now open!

Law students or attorneys who graduated in or after 2020 are eligible to participate as mentees, and practicing attorneys who graduated in or before 2019 are eligible to serve as mentors.

Please sign up here. The program’s registration deadline is October 25, 2024.

If you would like more information about our program, please email mentorship.kalagny@gmail.com.

Sincerely,
J. John Kim and Julie Cho
